About us and how we work

Varna Daily covers everyday life in Varna – beaches and sea temperature, sport, markets, transport and practical basics – checked against official sources listed on each page. It is one of five Varna websites made by the same small editorial team, in six languages, for locals, visitors and newcomers.

What Varna Daily covers

Varna Daily is for everyday life in the city: beaches and the sea, sport and the outdoors, markets and food shopping, getting around by bus, taxi or bike, and the practical routines of living here.

Its data pages answer the questions of the day: Today (weather, sea, name days and holidays), planned power and water outages, municipal notices, pharmacies, and a helper that links to the official checks for traffic fines, vignettes and tolls.

How Varna Daily checks practical information

Practical pages rely on the institution or operator in charge – the municipality, the transport company, the utility or the national agency – and list it on the page; when a rule, price or timetable changes, the official page has the final word.

Outage and notice pages repeat what the electricity company, the water company or the municipality announced, with a link to the original announcement. The pharmacy list comes from OpenStreetMap, so check the pharmacy itself before a late-night trip.

What is automated on Varna Daily

The data pages are filled automatically: software fetches the announcements of the electricity and water companies, municipal notices, the pharmacy list, the sea temperature and the weather several times a day and rebuilds the pages. No editor reviews each item, so if an announcement differs from what you see here, the original source is right.

The fines helper works only in your browser: it tidies the plate number you type and sends you to the official services. Guides and routines are not published automatically – they need an editor’s approval.

One team, five sites

Varna Pulse (news), Varna Now (events and places), Varna Daily (everyday life), Varna Guide (visitor guide) and New in Varna (moving to Varna) are run by one small editorial team. They are not separate publishers: all five follow the same editorial rules, the same checking method and the same corrections process, and each site covers a different need.

We do not accept payment for listings or coverage, and no place on our lists has paid to be included.

How we use AI

AI tools help us monitor sources, draft summaries and translate pages into six languages. Editors set the rules and review sensitive topics; the section above says which pages on this site are published without an editor reading them first.

Some illustrations on this site are AI-generated; they are not photos of the real place or event. “What people say” sections paraphrase recurring public opinions; we never invent quotes, reviews or ratings.

Corrections

If something is wrong, out of date or a place has closed, we check it and correct it. Every page shows when it was published and, when its facts changed, when it was last updated; real corrections are noted on the page itself.

A contact address for corrections will be published here before the sites go live.

Data sources

Live and daily data on our sites comes from these public sources. We show short facts with a link to the original and credit every source next to its widget.
