Varna swimming pool guide: Primorski, Dolphins and warm pools
Varna's public pools: Primorski at South Beach (two 50 m pools, Mon–Sat 7–21, Sun 8–21) and the indoor 25 m Dolphins pool in Vazrazhdane. Hours, phones.
Staying active in Varna: running and free outdoor fitness in the Sea Garden, cycling and yoga by the sea, and public pools, including an indoor one.
Most of Varna’s everyday sport happens outdoors and costs nothing. The Sea Garden and the seafront promenade below it are car-free and mostly flat, which is why running there is a local habit. The 1.1 km Alley of Olympic Glory has outdoor fitness equipment along the way, and in summer the best hours are early morning and after sunset.
The same alleys suit a slow bike ride, and the beaches and park lawns are where people roll out a mat: see outdoor workouts, cycling and yoga for a simple 30-minute routine and a few friendly reminders.
If you want lanes and a roof, the pool guide has the details: the Primorski complex at South Beach has two 50 m pools, Dolphins is an indoor 25 m pool, and Aquahouse has warm mineral pools. The municipal pools do not publish single-swim prices online, so call before you go.
Rather swim in the sea? Check the sea temperature by month and read our guide to flags, currents and jellyfish first.
